La femme rurale se trouve confrontée à plusieurs difficultés, mais deux parmi sont majeures. C’est entre autres le non-accès aux financements et manque d’accès à l’information ou à la nouvelle technologie de l’information et de la communication (NTIC). Propos de Solange Kwinja à l’occasion de la journée de la femme rurale, célébré chaque le 15 octobre de l’année. 

Pour elle, le monde actuel évolue grâce à la nouvelle technologie de l’information et de la communication et c’est grâce à la communication que le monde est accessible, mais ces dernières n’ont pas l’accès à cette information. Cela bloque les femmes rurales qui travaillant dur, mais n’ont pas l’opportunité d’être en connexion et de savoir comment est-ce qu’évolue d’autres femmes du monde et de l’Afrique en particulier.

«En Afrique et surtout ici dans la province du sud Kivu, nombreuses  femmes n’ont pas accès aux terres et vous savez qu’il y a des banques qui exigent une caution et quand on vient visiter, le mari refuse qu’on ne visite ou soit, c’est la famille qui s’y oppose soit disant, la femme n’a pas de terre. Parmi des difficultés, nous pouvons aussi parler de la dégradation des routes et dessertes agricoles ; d’autres qui bloquent les femmes rurales, nous avons les difficultés liées à des usines et machines industrielles, » dit-elle.

Signalons que cette journée a été célébrée par l’union africaine, à Nairobi avec comme thème « élevé la femme rurale, libérez leurs potentiels grâce au numérique et à la technologie afin de promouvoir la transformation agricole ». La RDC a été représentée dans cette réunion par mademoiselle Solange Kwinja une femme entrepreneure dans la province du sud Kivu.
