Selon le communiqué de presse N°01/ ov3S /CAB/PP/23 signé ce 24 octobre 2023 du Gouverneur Militaire ad intérim de la Province du Nord-Kivu et Commandant des Opérations, le Général-Major Cirimwami Nkuba Peter, informe qu’aucune présence des éléments des Groupes Armés ne sera tolérée ni dans la ville de Goma ni derrière les lignes des Forces Armées de la République Démocratique du Congo. 

« Les récalcitrants subiront la rigueur de la loi », insiste-t-il

Ce communiqué porte également à la connaissance de la population du Territoire de Nyiragongo, de la ville de Goma et ses environs que des tirs à l’arme lourde et légère qui se sont fait entendre en date du 23 octobre 2023 dans notre zone de responsabilité, sont l’œuvre de deux Groupes Armés qui se sont affrontés en profondeur du village Kanyarutchinya.

Informée de la situation, l’Autorité Provinciale a instruit l’arrestation immédiate de ses fauteurs de troubles par les Services de Défense et de Sécurité et leur déferrement devant la Justice.

Par ailleurs, dans un autre communiqué de presse N°01/op3 ICAB/PP/23,  Les FARDC portent à la connaissance de l’opinion nationale et internationale que ce mardi 24 octobre 2023, en violation flagrante du cessez-le-feu, les terroristes du
M23 appuyé par l’armée rwandaise, viennent d’attaquer une de ces
positions se trouvant au verssant Ouest du Volcan Nyiragongo en
profondeur du Parc national de Virunga.

Face à cette provocation, toutes les dispositions ont été prises par les
Forces Armées de la République Démocratique du Congo pour répondre à toutes les éventualités.
