La route nationale N°2, tronçon reliant le Lycée Wima au Centre Psychiatrique SOSAME, en passant par le lieu-dit Yesu Yesu 2, constitue un danger permanent pour les habitants de Bukavu. Cette situation, causée par une fuite de tuyau de la REGIDESO selon des témoignages recueillis sur place ce jeudi 29 février 2024, rend la circulation difficile et périlleuse pour les conducteurs de véhicules, de motos, ainsi que pour les étudiants et les élèves.
Un calvaire quotidien pour les usagers
Le tronçon Yesu Yesu 2 est en état de délabrement avancé, avec des nids-de-poule béants et des glissements de terrain fréquents. Cette situation rend la traversée extrêmement difficile et dangereuse, surtout en période de pluie. Les conducteurs doivent zigzaguer entre les obstacles pour éviter d’endommager leurs véhicules, tandis que les piétons, étudiants et élèves, risquent de se blesser à chaque pas.

Émilie Lamama, étudiante à l’Université Officielle de Bukavu, exprime son ras-le-bol face à cette situation.
« Je m’exprime aujourd’hui en tant qu’étudiante car cette situation ne nous plaît vraiment pas. Nous sommes obligés d’emprunter cette route impraticable depuis plus de deux ans. Nos vies en dépendent, tout comme celles des autres usagers ».
Un appel à l’action
Face à ce danger permanent, les habitants de Bukavu lancent un appel à l’aide aux autorités locales et nationales. Ils exigent la réhabilitation urgente de ce tronçon routier vital pour la ville.
